Desert Enviro - Update 1

I have been working on this scene for the last two weekends. The aim is to improve my organic modelling workflow. I started with creating the vista (still needs lots of love) in World Machine and now focusing on creating more detailed rock pieces in Zbrush. Will try to post an update once a week.

  1. Seen your stuff on PCount, really enjoyed it! For Rock tips and crit you should drop it in the 'Rawks' thread going on. But I noticed the conversation you had with another member on the WAYWO, I wouldnt use decimation master, as like you said you get some crazy rats nest. Zremesh is pretty good but I haven't used to much of it. I just wanted to recommend MeshLab, I am sure you have heard of it, but if not its free so a little buggy, but it does a fantastic quadric decimation of more natural assets. Aim a little higher than your count, and then use Max/Maya to just give it a quick tidy, but realistically your are basically looking to just wield a few verts and make a few tris.
